?? Suggestion ??

** Please be aware that if you are coming from the west side of Rhinelander, you may not be able to get to our Hwy 8 sponsors locations without going 30 miles out of your way.

This is because of the trails being closed leaving Rhinelander to our townships.  In past years, we have had active petitions to reopen and keep open these trail routes to/from the

Woodboro - Crescent business community, but it has not come to fruition due to many factors.  Most prominently the lack of township and club trail systems pushing to re-open access.

It seems to be one of those political things that often keeps communities held hostage.  The town of Rhinelander is one of the few northern Wisconsin communities that does NOT welcome nor allow snowmobilers, atv'ers, within their community.  In fact, tourists staying at Rhinelander motels and hotels have actually received tickets for attempting to ride their snowmobiles to a snowmobile trail within town.  In recent years, the town and Rhinelander Chamber of Commerce has courted the State of Wisconsin's Department of Tourism for tens of thousands of advertising dollars to "Find The Hodag On The Trails", yet they keep the trails closed that would allow the tourists to actually go out enjoy and find the damn Hodag on a trail.

So that being said, it appears that once again in 2007 - 2008 there will be no direct access from Rhinelander to the businesses community on Hwy 8 west.

Somewhere in During the '07-'08 Season, we will be doing an over night trip.  We will leave on Saturday morning and ride to our overnight destination.  We'll return on Sunday after a group breakfast.   Lots of fun for everyone.  Ask one of the sponsors, or keep an eye on the web site for a posting notice and sign up information.  Coming soon.

Destinations are tentative!

Verify these activities by calling a sponsor or club officer.

Runs are usually Snow or No Snow, as we occasionally

drive our cars if there is severe, unsafe, or a no-snow weather condition.

~ MID WEEK RIDES ~

*Call the area sponsors for any Mid-week rides or impromptu rides that may be put together.

Each sponsor may very well have something scheduled from their locations, so don't hesitate to call!

(Friday-Fish Fry Runs are not uncommon, though not scheduled)
